Bike parking on Wednesday nights
Easter Garden is NOT a bike park!

Following a friendly chat with (and e-mail from) the Friends of Easter Garden (the peaceful spot where many bicycles seem to land on Wednesdays) I have agreed that the league will have to park elsewhere. I know this may seem extreme to some of you, however, once you know the reasons I am confident all will agree.

Below is some content from the Chairman's mail:

"Easter Garden is essentially a neighbourhood garden, managed and paid for by local volunteer residents and was never intended for mass parking of cycles. The 2 racks installed at the Wesley Place top end were an afterthought concession and not meant to encourage any extra use of the garden."

In addition some bikes have been locked to the plants!

The bench is somewhat special and should not be subjected to pedal scrapes etc.

So there we are, please be good and only use the racks available. As an alternative there is an iron railing on the centre island at the top of Wesley Place (where it joins Upper Belgrave Road) which could be used.

All Captains and Vice Captains have been e-mailed with this information to circulate to all players.

Many thanks for your co-operation.

Pete
