2010 Bring it on

OK so we narrowly lost out last year but we won't make the same mistakes again (just different ones!)

We're welcoming another new batch of players this year and judging by the first practice session the old guard will have to be on their toes.

Next practice session is on Sun 17th and I'm trying to arrange a friendly for Wednesday 28th.

Don't forget the season starts on May 5th but before that is the pre-season party on 30th. See you all there.

P.s We're still short of girls for the DD Tournament on May 29/30th so if you know anyone who's interested let me know.

Formed way back in time when the downs was just fields and our captain didn't have a grey hair on his head, the Sons of Pitches are now the league's elder statesmen.

But don't let that fool you, there's plenty of life left in the old bones yet and we're always there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

Our finest hour came with a hat-trick of league titles a few years back and it will surely just be a matter of time before we regain what is rightfully ours.

Until then we will enjoy being a constant thorn in the Monkey's sides and hopefully this year we can beat our bogey team, The Unit, Grrrrr!

Although competitive, we like to enjoy ourselves and fully embrace the friendliness of the league, however we did have to change our tact slightly after being voted 'League's friendliest team' that's just taking it too far!
